True change is made possible through partnership, cooperation, and effective teamwork. We are pleased to announce the visit of the JazzCash team, including CEO Atyab Tahir and Chief Enterprise Business & Channels Suhail Jan, to Switch Communications’ operating company BaKhabar Kissan (BKK).
The session focused on identifying potential opportunities for collaboration with the aim of digitizing financial transactions for farmers as part of the broader goal of financial inclusion.
Switch Communications CEO Khizer Alam Khan, COO Rehan Alam Khan, and the BaKhabar Kissan (BKK) team, along with the JazzCash team, sat down to strategize and define an action plan for improving profitability for farmers by providing accurate weather forecasts, credit financing, and more.
The team first went to the Central Cotton Research Institute (CCRI) Multan, where they learned about new developments within agriculture and undertook a field visit afterward. After this, the team then visited the Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture, Multan, and met with the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Asif Ali. Following this, the team went to Syngenta’s Learning and Development Center (LDC) to observe the latest developments in agriculture and participated in a plantation drive after.
Trips like this help unify the various stakeholders in the agri-value chain of Pakistan in order to collaborate with each other to achieve our goal.
